Capital Credits

As a member-owned cooperative, Butte Electric returns profits to its members in the form of capital credits. These credits represent your share of the cooperative’s margins and are allocated based on your energy usage. Periodically, a portion of these credits is refunded to members, reinforcing our commitment to providing affordable and reliable service.
